However, the Indian Monsoon region is a known opening where there is substantial mass transport from the Southern to the Northern Hemisphere during the boreal summer. One can formulate the question: Are there other ways for inter-hemispheric exchange in the globe? The present work has the objective of evaluating the meridional tropospheric transport of mass and humidity in South America and surroundings. %@secondarydate 2007 %T An evaluation of the inter-hemispheric mass and humidity transport around South America %@format Papel %@tertiarytype Sessão Oral %@secondarytype PRE CN %K monssoon region, tropical convergence zone, southern hemisphere. %8 24-28 april %@group DMD-INPE-MCT-BR %@e-mailaddress deicy@cptec.inpe.br %@secondarykey INPE--PRE/ %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE/CPTEC) %@affiliation Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil %D 2006 %A Cerqueira, Fernanda Araújo, %A Santos, Isimar de Azevedo, %C Foz do Iguaçu %@area MET
