ABSTRACT: The Model Output Statistics (MOS) is a powerful and low cost to minimize systematic errors of General Circulation Models of the atmosphere in anticipation of seasonal climate. This project of implementation of MOS is to use the results of the long run of 50 years of rain with MCGA CPTEC / COLA and rain gauges as predictors in a statistical model based on Canonical Correlation Analysis (CCA) and/or Singular Value Decomposition Analysis (SVDA). Having made the cross validation, verification of the performance of dynamic forecasting purely compared with the statistical forecasting-dynamics will be made through the statistical indexes routinely used in the evaluation of various types of numerical model. The regression equations are used in an operational system for correction of forecasts of seasonal rainfall. %@secondarydate 20080824 %T Model Output Statistics na previsão sazonal de precipitação: uma primeira implementação %@format CD-ROM %@tertiarytype Artigo %@secondarytype PRE CN %K climatologia, downscaling estatístico, MOS, modelagem. %8 24-29 ago %@visibility shown %@group DMD-CPT-INPE-MCT-BR %@group DOP-CPT-INPE-MCT-BR %@e-mailaddress deicy@cptec.inpe.br %@secondarykey INPE-15586-PRE/10311 %@copyholder SID/SCD %2 sid.inpe.br/mtc-m18@80/2008/10.09.14.17.09 %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE/CPTEC) %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE/CPTEC) %4 sid.inpe.br/mtc-m18@80/2008/10.09.14.17 %D 2008 %1 SBMET %S Anais %A Mattos, João Gerd Zell de, %A Cunningham, Christopher, %C São Paulo %@area MET
